SONOGRAPHERS Medical Specialist Recruitment requires an experienced Occupational Therapist. Our client is looking for candidates who have previously worked in the NHS and possess UK experience. Must have experience in occupational therapy. Based in Rotherham  - The locum will be part of the CHAT team that in-reaches into Rotherham Hospital’s Urgent and Emergency Care Centre (UECC) and AMU, to prevent admissions, aiming to return patient’s home the same day. The base will be in UECC. Driving License and access to a car required. Previous community experience. S1 & Meditech knowledge - Ref 62669 Based in Rotherham  - Care Homes Community Team. Experience working within a community setting ideally within care home settings and be used to a holistic approach to assessment and planning with a patient centred ethos. Completing assessment of mobility and transfers, issue of walking aids, comprehensive falls assessments, issuing of exercise programmes, providing advice and support to care home staff Good clinical risk management, excellent communication skills and the ability to work autonomously and plan own caseload and visits.  Based in Humber  - System One (Training provided) IT Ward OT experience in Physical Rehabilitation Based in Derby & Burton - Inpatient cover Surgery and Cancer Therapy.  Will be asked to cover acute inpatient wards mainly general surgery but could also cover some cancer wards.  Acute ward inpatient experience.  Experience in discharge planning. Monday to Friday from 08.30 to 16.30 37.5H Based in Derby & Burton  - To provide patient centred approach to assessment and treatment of stroke patients and to progress towards appropriate discharge plan working closely with other members of the MDT.  Experience of working within stroke or neurology, complex discharge planning, MDT working, assessment and treatment of cognitive deficits. The Stroke service at UHDB is now the largest admitting centre in the region and in the top 10 largest in the country. Our friendly and specialist team work well together to ensure that we provide the best service possible for patient's at the inpatient stage of their recovery pathway. Monday to Friday 08.00 to 16.00 37.5h Based in Walsall - Candidates must possess a level of fitness as the work involves floor level working and holding and maintaining fixed postures and positions for a period of time.  Candidates must be able to manufacture custom splints for a range of conditions including upper and lower limb, neck and spines. They must also be able to assess and fit a range of 'off the shelf' splints.  The role is unique and specialist. Band 4 Health Improvement Resource Assistant Higher Level

Main Purpose of this Role: Work in close partnership with children, young people and their families to undertake assessments in relation to their occupational therapy needs in the home setting. The assessment will identify minor adaptions (eg ramps), equipment needs and housing safety needs. The assessment will reflect the voice of the child and where appropriate that of the wider family and the recommendations and provision will maximise independence and safety for the child and the family. To be a point of liaison when transferring cases to the qualified staff if an assessment for major adaptations is required. Clinical Skills 1. To work with the qualified staff to develop the provision of Social Care Occupational Therapy for children, young people, and their families in the community 2. To write housing reports reflecting knowledge of Social Care Occupational Therapy needs for children 3. To engage families and carers with the Social Care Occupational Therapy process to ensure the needs of the child or young person are understood across the home and school environments and that interventions are handed over to parents, carers and school support staff for the child to complete in the appropriate setting 4. To provide training and support to parents and carers where necessary regarding the Social Care Occupational Therapy needs of children or young people in conjunction with qualified staff 5. To work alongside the Children with Disabilities Team to provide holistic treatment packages 6. To recommend, provide or advise on provision of basic equipment taking responsibility for demonstrating its usage and training clients, carers and teaching staff and to know limitations of own practice and when to escalate to qualified staff 7. To be conversant with the relevant legislation and risk assessments pertaining to Social Care Occupational therapy.
