Specialist Technical and Clinical Pharmacist, band 7

Specialist Technical and Clinical Pharmacist, band 7 Type of work required to be performed by the Candidate: The post holder will assist the Head of Technical Services in providing Technical services training and supervision of Pharmacists. The post holder will work with the Chief Technician, Technical services, deputies and other senior members of staff of other services within the Trust. The post holder will participate in the final release and dispensing of chemotherapy and other products prepared in the aseptic units and outsourced aseptic products. Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council. Significant post-qualification Pharmacy experience, with experience of working in Hospital Pharmacy Technical services. Knowledge of Good manufacturing Any risks to health or safety? The post holder will be required to handle, check and store cytotoxic agents. The post holder will be required to handle, check and store monoclonal antibody products. The post holder will be required to handle, check and store penicillin products.

Experiences required for the role: year of experience, automation and manual sections in biochemistry, with preference to use of Winpath, specialist manual tests would be desirable Essential skills/experience: Must be competent in microtomy( able to cut 30 routine blocks /hour) Working hours: Permanent night worker (3x 12.5hour shifts each week) Shift starting 8 pm and finishing 9 am.
