Job Discerption:

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the ultrasound department based in London for a qualified Obs sonographer.

The successful candidate will have a broad experience of current obstetric ultrasound techniques including nuchal translucency, Transvaginal scanning, and Doppler assessment.

The individual must have a strong commitment to practice, safety, and the provision of a responsive, dynamic ultrasound service.

Liaison with the Consultant Obstetricians, Fetal Medicine Specialists, nurses, and midwives is key and as such the successful applicant must be a team player and have excellent communication skills.

Applicants must hold either the Certificate/Diploma (as appropriate) in Medical Ultrasound (CMU/DMU) or Post Graduate Certificate in Obstetric Ultrasound (PGCert or DMU) with qualifications relevant to obstetric scanning and be able to provide evidence of relevant continuous professional development.

Requirements of the Sonographer:

  • MUST have DQASS accreditation to be able to carry out nuchal scans
  • Postgraduate sonography experience
    • Minimum of 1 years’ UK experience in a similar role
    • Right to work in the UK / Valid visa
