Obstetric/Gynaecologic Sonographer

Sonographers Medical is looking for a sonographer who can work on obstetric or gynae, working in a ultrasound team based in central London.

It is required that the applicants can provide a comprehensive scanning service which covers obstetric and gynecologic scans. Furthermore, the sonographer must be able to work in a team, which requires being able to communicate well with their team. Work included falls mostly under obstetric tasks.

Responsibilities and tasks of the sonographer includes

• Maintaining patient bookings.
• Assuring systems containing patient information up to date and accurate.
• Regular inspections of equipment, and taking appropriate courses of action.
• Ensuring patients are taken care of, giving a good experience is imperative, with the sonographer giving support for across the whole process; from their referral to receiving their results.

Application requirements

• Must be able to work between 10:00 to 18:00.
• Registration with HCPC/BMUS.
• DQASS, in order to perform obstetrics.
• Registrations with SOR.
• Relevant diploma or degree in medical ultrasound is an essential prerequisite for this position. And a years worth of experience postgraduate, in a similar position.
• Compliance – a right to work in the United Kingdom or a valid visa.
